Privacy policy

Data collected and purposes

• Account: email address, name, password (stored only as a non-reversible hash), language, date the address was confirmed; for each sign-in: date, IP address and browser. Purpose: access to the customer area and the software, account security. Legal basis: contract. Retention: until the account is deleted; sign-ins: until they expire or you sign out.
• Order: email address, name, billing country, amount, Stripe payment identifiers, language chosen for the software and the website. Purpose: performance of the sale, invoicing, sending the code and support. Legal basis: contract and accounting obligations. Retention: 5 years (Australian tax record-keeping obligations).
• License: activation code, technical identifier of the computer (anonymous, non-reversible fingerprint derived from the hardware identifier), computer name, software version, activation and check dates, IP address during these operations. Purpose: activation, prevention of fraud and license sharing. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interest. Retention: duration of the license + 3 years.
• Downloads: date, version downloaded, IP address. Purpose: security and abuse prevention. Retention: 12 months.
• Support: email address and content of your messages. Retention: 3 years after the last exchange.

Banking data

Payment is processed by Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd. We never collect or store your card data. See Stripe's privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy.

For the payment transaction, Link (a Stripe service) acts as merchant of record: it processes, under its own responsibility, the data needed for payment, invoicing and tax calculation (name, billing address, email, payment method, country), in accordance with Stripe's and Link's privacy policy.

What the software does not collect

The software does not send our servers your videos, your clips, your searches or any usage statistics. It only contacts: our license server (activation, periodic check, update information), YouTube (reading the videos you choose) and Hugging Face (one-time download of the transcription engine).

(Resend), 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, États-Unis. No data is sold or used for advertising purposes.

Transfers outside your country

The Seller is based in Australia. The website is served by Cloudflare's global network and emails are sent by Resend (United States); payment is processed by Stripe. Your data may therefore be processed in Australia, the United States and other countries where these providers operate, with the contractual safeguards each of them provides.

Cookies

The website uses no advertising or audience measurement cookies. A technical session cookie is used only for form security and the administration area, and a “lang” cookie remembers the language you chose for the website; they are exempt from consent.

Your rights

You can request access to and correction of your data (Privacy Act 1988, Australia). If you live in the European Union, you also have the rights of erasure, restriction, objection and portability (GDPR). You can delete your account yourself from “My account”, or write to viralclipfactorypro@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (www.oaic.gov.au) or to the data protection authority of your country.
